unit 4: celebrations Reflection
All of these studios were a blast to make! They are all tied together with a common theme of celebrations. With the first finger puppet studio, I was celebrating me! It is important to take some time and recognize and celebrate yourself. We then studied Norman Rockwell, and the celebration can be interpreted as either Christmas or family. I chose to celebrate family and the not so picture perfect picture. The last studio goes along with my last lesson plan, it is a fictional insect. I was celebrating nature and creativity. All of these studios. All of these studios allowed us to see relationships, and then integrate those relationships into the big picture, celebrations (Bang, 2006, p. 145).
All of these studios could be easily incorporated into my classroom. I can easily see the Norman Rockwell magazine cover being a class favorite. With the rise in technology, allowing students to create something on the computer besides just typing a paper could be really exciting, and useful for students.
